The Lost Rainbow Bowl
When I was a child, I was fascinated by all the ceramic earthenware at home. My favorite was a clay bowl, that was painted in brilliant hues of yellow, orange, pink and blue. As I would run my hands over the glazed surface, I would imagine the pair of hands who would have painted it.
I kept the bowl for years. One day, I dropped it and it felt like a part of my childhood was lost forever. It’s strange how objects come to embody so much of our lives. The lost rainbow bowl is a creative exploration of the nature of memory and loss, and the futility of trying to remake pieces of the past using projection mapping.
